A Note from our
VP of Membership
Hi!

I am Gia Buttaro and I am Delta Zeta’s Vice President of Membership. I am thrilled about your interest in becoming a part of the Panhellenic community! My experience in DZ has been the highlight of my college experience. There are so many leadership opportunities and ways to set yourself up for success in the future. Being surrounded by a sincere and caring sisterhood has been the source of my academic success and has given me friendships that will last a lifetime!

My goal as the VP of Membership of Delta Zeta is to ensure that our members feel a sense of belonging in the Panhellenic community and a greater sense of support through our sisterhood. I focus on doing this for each individual and the collective group as we participate and grow within the Panhellenic community. Delta Zeta prides itself on its genuine sisterhood, selfless hearing & speech philanthropy, highest Panhellenic GPA last year, and being a top HuskyTHON Greek fundraiser each year. I highly encourage you to join the Greek community and learn more about Delta Zeta and all it has to offer!

Sign up for recruitment through the link provided above or email me for more information at dzuconnvpm@gmail.com! The Panhellenic recruitment process not only allows for you to find a smaller community within UConn’s large campus but also enables you to open yourself up to a whole new world of amazing adventures, memories, opportunities, and friendships to last a lifetime! I hope you consider signing up and I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

Truly,
Gia Buttaro

A Note from our
VP of New Member Education
Hello,

My name is Robbi Zamora and I am Delta Zeta Gamma Beta’s Vice President of New Member Education. I am a sophomore Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences major. After seeing my cousins make lifelong friendships through their sorority, I knew that joining my own sorority was something I desired to do when I attended college. Additionally, going to college during a pandemic added another level of difficulty to making friends. Choosing to do formal recruitment in the midst of the pandemic made my transition to college much easier. I was able to make and meet some of my best friends in a community of like-minded girls that I knew would make Uconn feel like a home. With these girls, I was able to find the best version of myself possible from the endless support that they give me. Throughout my own experience in Delta Zeta so far I was already pushed outside of my comfort zone and have been able to grow along with my best friends.

One thing that drew me into Delta Zeta was the way that all of the conversations I had with the members were so natural. Everyone I talked to during recruitment was someone I could see myself being friends with as it all felt so genuine. In Delta Zeta, I feel like I belong somewhere. I have friends that encourage me to be better and friends that hold the same values as I do. I am honored to be a Delta Zeta and hold true to the values that we share.

On behalf of the whole chapter, we are so excited to welcome our future new members. I am so excited to embark on a new journey with the next pledge class. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Truly,
Robbi Zamora
