A Note from our VP of Membership
Hello, I am so happy you are here! My name is Colleen Coogan and I am Delta Zeta’s Vice President of Membership. I am so excited about your interest in becoming a part of the Panhellenic community! For myself, being a Panhellenic woman has brought both individual growth as well as greater cultivation and involvement in the larger community of women around me. Being immersed in a service-focused sisterhood and watching the countless accomplishments of my sisters has inspired me in my leadership skills, academic success, and left me with friendships that will long out last my time at UConn!
My goal as the VP of Membership of Delta Zeta is to ensure that our members feel a sense of belonging to the Panhellenic community and a greater sense of support through our sisterhood. I focus on doing this for each individual and the collective group as we participate and grow within the Panhellenic community. Delta Zeta prides ourself on our genuine sisterhood, selfless speech and hearing philanthropy, highest Panhellenic GPA, and being the top HuskyTHON Greek fundraiser last year. I highly encourage you to join the Greek community and learn more about us and Panhellenic as a whole!
Sign up through the link provided above or email me for more information at email@example.com! The Panhellenic recruitment process not only allows for you to find a smaller community within UConn’s large campus but also enables you to open yourself up to a whole new world of amazing adventures, memories, opportunities, and friendships to last a lifetime! I hope you consider signing up and I wish you the best of luck on your journey!
Truly, Colleen Coogan Vice President of Membership
A Note from our VP of New Member Education
My name is Anna Pratt and I am Delta Zeta Gamma Beta’s VP of New Member Education. I am an incoming senior studying Public Administration! As someone coming to UConn from a very small town, I was nervous about making new friends and stepping out of my comfort zone. Choosing to go through formal recruitment in fall 2019 was the best decision I have ever made! Not only did I find my forever home in Delta Zeta, I have gained a sense of family, an endless support system, and countless like minded girls to push me to be the best version of myself possible. Through my own experience in Delta Zeta, I have been given so many opportunities to grow, step outside of my comfort zone and try new things alongside my best friends.
One of the things that drew me to Delta Zeta was the sense of belonging I felt from day one. It is our sorority’s purpose to create among a group of women a true and lasting friendship, to encourage one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote values-based living and embrace social responsibility. I am honored to have been chosen to share these values, our history, and sisterhood with girls who will continue to help our chapter grow, and set the stage for the future. Being a part of Delta Zeta has been the most rewarding experience and I am so proud to be a part of this amazing group of strong women. I hope I can share this organization’s impact with our new member class.
On behalf of the whole chapter, we are so excited to welcome our future new members. I am so excited to embark on a new journey with the next pledge class. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
