My name is Emma and I have the honor of serving as the President of the Gamma Beta chapter of Delta Zeta at the University of Connecticut. Going into college, I wanted more than service and leadership opportunities; I was looking forward to building lifelong friendships. As I went through formal recruitment in the Fall of 2018, I often heard that a sorority is a home away from home but Delta Zeta has surpassed simply being a home. The women I have met are passionate, ambitious, and genuine. Our chapter truly embodies what Delta Zeta stands for: friendship, curiosity, generosity, citizenship empowerment, and belonging. These women challenge me, hold me accountable, and love me unconditionally. I can say with confidence that I have grown as a leader, served our local and national philanthropies, and inspired others as much as they have inspired me to be the best version of myself. My time as a Delta Zeta has been filled with laughs during sisterhood activities, studying on campus with sisters, touching lives through philanthropy events, enthusiastic waves around campus, notable achievements, and navigating together through whatever challenge awaits us. Delta Zeta is not just an organization that lasts for the four years of college, but will stick with you for the rest of your life. I could not ask for a better and stronger chapter full of my 133 chosen sisters. I encourage you to explore our social media and website to see all the incredible moments we have shared. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, comments or concerns about the Gamma Beta chapter of Delta Zeta.
